Generation AI: How Do Youth Use Artificial Intelligence?

Modern youth in Poland are increasingly using tools based on artificial intelligence, changing their approach to education, work and everyday life. The IT Girls Foundation and Nationale-Nederlanden, with the support of Campus AI, jointly working for technological education and a responsible approach to innovation, presented the report "AI Generation. How do young people use artificial intelligence?". The study provides a comprehensive picture of how young Poles perceive and use artificial intelligence, what their needs are, and what challenges and threats they see in this technology. The report includes comments from experts such as: Artur Kurasiński, Aleksandra Przegalińska, and Jowita Michalska.

I wanted to discover new technologies, work closer to IT projects and implement innovative solutions in companies. It was then that I discovered Salesforce – a platform that turned out to be much more than just a CRM tool. Today I would like to share my experiences and tips with you, which I hope will be helpful if you also want to delve into the secrets of this, as it turned out, fascinating world.

Why are there so few women working in IT?

When I tell someone about my profession, I often hear in response, “A woman in the role of an IT specialist? That’s so unheard of!” I have never heard anyone express such surprise when told about the profession of a teacher, doctor or accountant. Research from 2020 showed that in Poland, women make up less than 10% in the IT sector.

Why is this profession so male-dominated? Is testosterone levels affecting analytical and mathematical abilities? Or is it more muscle mass needed to connect a few cables? What really affects women's situation in the world of technology?
